Arrival Jaipur

Today after morning breakfast check out from Ranthmbore hotel and drive for Jaipur - Jaipur is known as the Pink City because most of its buildings were painted pink. Jaipur is home to forts, palaces, temples, wildlife sanctuaries, and local markets. It's also part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra. On arrival check in to hotel. Later proceed for visit Birla Mandir, the magnificent Birla Mandir in Jaipur is a Hindu temple that forms a part of one of the several Birla temples located all around the country. Also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, the shrine is situated on the Moti Dungari Hill. The temple was built in the year 1988 by the Birlas when the Maharaja of Jaipur gave the land away for a token amount of one rupee. Overnight stay at Jaipur hotel.

Jaipur

After breakfast proceed to local sightseeing. Amber Fort with Elephant or Jeep ride (At your own cost). The Amber Fort was built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. It gives extensive views over a deep narrow valley and the wider plains beyond. En route, make a photo stop at the palace of winds the Hawa Mahal. A 5 storied building with 25cm thick facade from the 18 century having 953 windows and niches so that ladies of royal family could see the procession and events in the city without being visible to the people.  Later in the afternoon visit City Palace. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Among the various forts and palaces of Jaipur, City Palace stands apart, with its outstanding art and architecture. City Palace complex covers a huge area, which is divided into a series of gardens, courtyards and buildings. The premises consists several buildings like Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Mukut Mahal, Maharani's Palace, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Also visit Jantar Mantar (1728-34) by king astrologer Jai Singh II. The instruments are built of stone with marble facing on the important plains for measuring the harmony of the heavens. Each instrument serves a particular function and each gives an accurate reading. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Jaipur - Pushkar - Ajmer (150kms / 4hrs)

Today morning after breakfast drive for Pushkar - Pushkar is famous for its annual fair (Pushkar Camel Fair) featuring a trading fete of cattle, horses and camels. It is held over seven days in autumn marking Kartika Purnima according to the Hindu calendar (Kartik (month), October or November). Pushkar is often described in the scriptures as the only Brahma temple in the world, as a result of the curse of Savitri (Saraswati), and as the "King of the sacred places of the Hindus". Pushkar is also famous for the Pushkar Lake, which has 52 ghats. Pilgrims from across the country visit the lake to take a dip in its holy water. The sacred Pushkar Lake resounds with the chants and hymns from the 400 blue colored temples located on its banks. Ajmer remains a popular tourist attraction, in addition to being a pilgrimage centre for both Hindus and Muslims. The final resting place of the Sufi Saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti, is visited by Muslims from all over the world; in fact, the Dargah is revered equally by both Hindus and Muslims. Pushkar - Jodhpur (230kms / 5hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Jodhpur - is a city in the Thar Desert of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan. Its 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that’s now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Set on on a rocky outcrop, the fort overlooks the walled city, where many buildings are painted the city’s iconic shade of blue. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama - the epic hero of the Ramayana. On arrival check in into hotel. Later visit to Umaid Bhawan Palace Voted as the Best Hotel in the world, Umaid Bhawan Palace is also a major tourist attraction in Jodhpur. Apart from being a heritage hotel, it is a museum and the residence of the Royal Family of the present owner, Raja Gaj Singh. Jodhpur

After breakfast proceed to local sightseeing . After rest, Visit Mehrangarh Fort, which was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. It has various pavillions beautifully decorated and at times filled like museums with the old royal artifacts. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city.  You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses - the colour being associated with the high caste. Also visit Jaswant Thada. It is a white marble memorial built by Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The monument, in its entirety, is built out of intricately. carved sheets of marble. These stones are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when the sun's rays dance across their surface. MOTI MAHAL Moti Mahal, as the name suggests, is the Pearl Hall where the royal families held their audience. The hall is known to have glass windows and five nooks that enabled the queens to listen to the proceedings taking place in the Sringar Chowki, The Royal Throne of Jodhpur. Jodhpur - Sam Sand Dunes (280kms / 5hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Jaisalmer – mean the Hill Fort of Jaisal and is sometimes called the Golden City of India because the yellow sandstone used in every architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area. Situated in the middle of the vast Thar Desert, it is crowned by a commanding fort etched in yellow sandstone, with all its awesome splendour, dominating the amber-hued city.  The fort actually functions as intended and is still the site of an entire living area, home to a quarter of the population. On arrival check into Jasisalmer Desert Camp. Enjoy tent activities like camelback ride into the desert to watch the sun set, cultural program (Rajasthan Folk Dance). This enables you to discover the rich desert culture and meet the colorful tribal people. We will provide a special dinner in Camp. Overnight stay at Camp.

Sam Sand Dunes - Jaisalmer (50kms/ 1hr)

Today morning after breakfast check out from Desert Camp and proceed Jaisalmer City. Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and a princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the "Golden City," it's distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture. Dominating the skyline is Jaisalmer Fort, a sprawling hilltop citadel buttressed by 99 bastions. Behind its massive walls stand the ornate Maharaja's Palace and intricately carved Jain temples. Visit to The Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Qila (the Golden Fort). Then continue to visit the Patwon-Ki-Haveli, built by Guman Chand Patwa, one of the wealthiest merchant of the time took over fifty years to complete; Salim Singh ki Haveli, believed to have been built about 300 years ago; Nathmalji ki Haveli is a late 19th century mansion that was built for Diwan Mohata Nathmal, then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. Patwon ki Haveli - known for its pretty paintings, intricate carvings and a grandiose style of architecture. The entire complex is not a single haveli but a cluster of five smaller beautiful havelis. Gadisar Lake also called Gadaria Lake is located in the Jaisalmer district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built by the founder of Jaisalmer, King Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD and later rebuilt by Gadsi Singh in the year around 1367 AD. This lake is an artificial lake. Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.

Day 08

Jaisalmer - Jodhpur Departure

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Jodhpur Airport/ Railway station. End of the trip with sweet memories.
