Arrival Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (160kms/ 4hrs)
Arrival at Chennai - The friendly city of Chennai is the gateway to the temple state of Tamil Nadu. Drive for Pondicherry. En-route visit to Mahabalipuram - This 7th-century erstwhile port city of Mahabalipuram is famous for its historical stone carvings and rock-cut shore temples. Stop at the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna's Butterball, and the Five Rathas. Don't forget to leave time to enjoy the stunning views of the town and the sea from the lighthouse on the hill. Later continue drive to Pondicherry - This place was earlier called as Puducherry located on the east Indian seaboard. Here you can witness French influence architecture with a few Gallic accents. On arrival check in into hotel. Spend the day at leisure with nature. Overnight stay at Pondicherry Hotel.

Morning after breakfast visit landmarks like the Aayi Mandapam and Bharathi Park, where you can soak up the areas rich history. In the afternoon visit the charming French Quarter, known for its colonial architecture and colorful streets. Spend the afternoon in Auroville, an experimental township, where you can explore the serene Matrimandir In the evening, return to Pondicherry and stroll through local markets to shop for handmade crafts and souvenirs. Overnight at Pondicherry.

Today proceed for Pondicherry attractions like Manakula Vinayagar Koil Temple, the Sacre Coeur Church, the Raj Nivas and Sri Aurobindo Ashram, The Pondicherry Museum. Return to the hotel in Pondicherry for an overnight stay.
