Amritsar - Dalhousie (200kms/ 5 Hours)

Arrival at Amritsar Airport / Railway Station and drive to Dalhousie – a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh is situated at a height of 1,970 meters above sea level, famous for its meadows, dense jungles and waterfalls. Established in 1854, it was named after Lord Dalhousie and this hill station was one of the favorite summer destinations of the Britishers during the colonial era. On arrival check in to hotel. After some rest visit to Punchpula, Bara Pathar, Subhash Baoli, Church, Satdhara and Mall Road. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

Dalhousie

Today after morning breakfast proceed for visit to Khajjiar, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary and Dainkund Peak. Khajjiar Widely known as 'mini-Switzerland of India', Khajjiar is a small town located around 26 km from Dalhousie, known for its picture perfect grassy meadows. There is a small lake in the middle of the meadows. There are plenty of day activities like paragliding, zorbing, and horse-riding at Khajjiar to make your day pleasant. Dainkund Peak The place of tourist interest in Dalhousie is Dainkund Peak which is the highest peak offering excellent views of valleys in and around Dalhousie. The hike to this summit is an exciting one and offers breathtaking views of the landscape in that area. (Trek 2 Kms / 45- 60 Minutes).  Kalatop wildlife Sanctuary Is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Leopard, bear, deer, langur, jackal, Himalayan Black Marten, Barking Goral and countless beautiful birds can be spotted here. The landscapes are thickly covered with Deodar trees interspersed with little streams flowing into the Ravi river. The wildlife sanctuary was better known as a gaming reserve for Chamba rulers, in history. The area is a favorite spot for trekking, picnics, and nature walks. Evening back to Dalhousie. Dalhousie - Dharamshala (120 kms / 4-5 Hrs)

Today morning, check out from Dalhousie and proceed towards another beautiful hill station — Dharamshala, known for its serene landscapes and peaceful vibes. Dharamshala also known as the Little Lahsa. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. on the way visit to Cricket Stadium Also known as Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is a must visit for cricket fanatics. The stadium is located at an altitude of 1457 m above sea level, amidst the stunning Dhauladhar Range. It is particularly famous for being the highest international cricket stadium in the world. War Memorial Museum The War Memorial in the forests of Dharamshala was created to commemorate the memory of those who fought to save our motherland. During the Indo-China War of 1947-48, 1962, 1965, and 1971, and UN Peace Operations, many brave soldiers of Kangra lost their lives as war heroes. Three huge panels of black stone, each 24 feet in height preserve their memory in stone. Tea Gardens is the smallest tea region in India, where visitors can enjoy serene walks through the gardens, learn about the tea-making process, and taste locally produced tea. Guided tours and tea-tasting sessions allow travelers to savor the unique flavor of the tea. Surrounded by the Dhauladhar range, it offers a tranquil escape amidst nature’s charm. Dharamshala

After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Dharamshala which included, Dharamkot Studio A small rustic space located in the village of Dharamkot, the Dharamkot Studio is a hidden gem where people can take pottery lessons. The lessons include trying to get the hang of the art using simply the hands and the wheel. The studio is also known for reviving black pottery, and trained instructors guide locals and tourists every step of the way. Tibetan Museum The Tibet Museum is the official museum of the Central Tibetan Administration's Department of Information and International Relations and is located near the main temple of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tsuglag Khang, in the Dharamsala suburb of McLeod Ganj. The Tibet Museum aims to disseminate knowledge of Tibetan history and culture. Established in 1998, the Tibet Museum now has a collection comprising over 30,000 photographs, a traveling exhibition, and a permanent exhibition that documents the Tibetan journey into exile across the Himalayan ranges. Bhagsunath Temple: Surrounded by beautiful pools and lush greenery, this temple is located at a height of 1770m above sea level and attracts a huge number of devotees and tourists throughout the year. Bhagsu Falls: Set amidst lush greenery and dreamy sceneries in a pristine atmosphere, these falls have much grandeur and breathtaking beauty. Whilein McLeodGanj, they should not be missed. The Bhagsu Falls are situated 2 kms away from McLeod Ganj. The place is spread over a vast expanse of land and one should take their time to explore the area and take in its majestic beauty. Trekking is also an enjoyable option here. There are also a few cafes near this region where tourists can find light refreshments. Dalai Lama Temple: Namgyal Monastery also often referred to as “Dalai Lama’s Temple” is currently located in Mcleodganj Dharamshala. It is the personal monastery of te 14th Dalai Lama. Another name for this Temple Complex is Namgyal Tantric College. St. John in the Wilderness Church: Amid tall cedars 1.5km west of McLeod on the road to Forsyth Ganj, this brooding Gothic church (dating from 1852) is one of the few remaining traces of McLeod's days as a British hill station. The cemetery contains the graves of many victims of the 1905 earthquake, as well as the rocket-like tomb of the Earl of Elgin, the second Viceroy of India. Overnight stay at hotel.

Dharamshala - Amritsar (210 Kms / 5-6 Hrs)

Today morning after breakfast check out from Dharamshala hotel and drive for Amritsar - The second largest city of Punjab, Amritsar is colloquially known as Ambarsar. Amritsar is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh Religion. Amritsar is home to Harmindir Sahib, popularly known as "the Golden Temple," one of  Sikhism’s most spiritually significant and most – visited  gurudwaras. On arrival check in into hotel. After some rest proceed for visit to the Golden Temple – The legendary Golden Temple is actually just a small part of this huge gurdwara complex, known to Sikhs as Harmandir Sahib. Spiritually, the focus of attention is the tank that surrounds the gleaming central shrine – the Amrit Sarovar, from which Amritsar takes its name, excavated by the fourth Sikh guru, Ram Das, in 1577. Jallianwala Bagh – A public garden and houses a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 by the Govt of India, to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrator including unarmed women and children by British occupying forces, on the occasion of the Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919 in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Amritsar

Today morning free for shopping. Afternoon visit to Wagah Border is a road border between Bharat and Pakistan. It is a famous tourist spot because of the famous beating retreat ceremony that is held every day before sunset. The flag ceremony is conducted by the Indian Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers. The border lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar and Lahore, Pakistan. The border is located at a distance of 22 km from Lahore and 28 km from Amritsar. Overnight stay at Amritsar.

Amritsar Departure

Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Amritsar Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying home wonderful memories of your Himachal tour.
