The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages in India. It consists of visiting four holy temples located in the Himalayas of the state of Uttarakhand. The pilgrimage includes Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple.

The journey usually begins from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun and is traditionally completed in a clockwise direction starting with Yamunotri and ending at Badrinath.

The Four Dhams

1. Yamunotri
Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, this temple is the starting point of the Char Dham Yatra. Pilgrims trek around 5–6 km from Janki Chatti to reach the temple.

2. Gangotri
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and marks the origin of the holy River Ganges. It is located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.

3. Kedarnath
One of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath Temple is located at an altitude of about 3,583 meters and is surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks.

4. Badrinath
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath Temple is situated along the Alaknanda River and is the final destination of the Char Dham pilgrimage.

Importance of Char Dham Yatra

  • Considered a spiritually purifying journey in Hinduism.

  • Devotees believe completing the yatra helps attain moksha (liberation).

  • The pilgrimage combines devotion, Himalayan landscapes, and cultural heritage.

Best Time to Visit

The Char Dham temples usually open between April/May and October/November, depending on weather conditions, and remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall.

Pune/Mumbai – Delhi-Haridwar

Pune/Mumbai – Delhi-Haridwar Our representative will receive you at the Delhi Airport/ Railway Station from where we will straight away drive to

Haridwar. This city which is home several temples such as Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi where you can offer your prayer. The devotees take a dip in the holy river Ganga in order to cleanse their souls of the sins. After attending the evening aarti of Ganga at Har Ki Pauri there will be a night stay in the hotel.

Haridwar-Barkot

The next day in the morning we will drive to our next destination which is Barkot via Dehradun, and Mussoorie en route visit Kempty Falls. There will be

an overnight stay in the hotel.

Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot(42 Kms Drive / 06 Kms Trek)

We will leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti, which is the confluence of Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna River in the morning next day. Our trek of 6

km to Yamunotri, that is situated at the backdrop of Bandarpunch will start as soon as we reach Janki Chatti. On arriving at the holy Yamunotri shrine, you will take a dip in the Garam Kund, perform pooja and offer prayer to Yamunotri Ji. Before leaving the vicinity of the temple it is a must to visit the Surya Kund which is also known to be an offspring of Surya Dev and an important part of the temple. Don’t forget to worship the Divya Shila which is a pillar just outside the temple. In the afternoon you will to trek back to Janki Chatti from where you will be driven back to Barkot for a night stay’s.

Barkot - Uttarkashi (Drive 82 Kms, / 04 Hrs. Drive)

Early in the morning, we will drive for Uttarkashi which is a sacred town near Rishikesh on the bank of Bhagirathi River. It is famous for the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath Temple) in the middle of the town & visit Prakateshwar Cave en route. Offer prayer in the Vishwanath Temple in the evening after this. Return back to your hotel for a night stay222

Day 05

Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 kms per way)

We will depart early in the morning for Gangotri. Upon arrival, you will take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges, known as the Bhagirathi at its origin. After offering prayers at the shrine of Gangotri Ji, you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Uttarkashi, where you will stay overnight in your room.

Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (223 kms / 09 hrs drive)

In the morning we would travel to Guptkashi, which is  situated in the Garhwal Himalayas of Rudraprayag district  and is famous for the Vishwanath Temple which is  dedicated to Lord Shiva. We will be visiting Tehri Dam en  route. After check-in visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple,  Ardh Narishwar Temple. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 07

Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (27 kms drive + 19 kms trek)

In the morning we will drive to Sonprayag via Guptkashi.  From here our trek will start to Kedarnath Temple which is  dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds a lot of mythological and  spiritual significance to the Hindus. It was established by SriAdi Shankaracharya in the 8th Century. The temple is  guarded by a huge statue of Nandi Bull via Gaurikund,  Bheem Bali, Garuechati. Worship the deity of Lord Shiva in  the temple and relax here. There is a night stay in  Kedarnath.

Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Rudraprayag/Pipalkoti (19 kms trek + 60 kms drive)

Go for a morning pooja and darshan in the temple. After this  trek down to Sonprayag from where we will drive back to  Rudraprayag / Pipalkoti for an overnight stay.

Rudraprayag – Joshimath – Badrinath (158 kms / 08 hrs drive)

There would be a drive to Badrinath early in the morning.  En route we would visit the Narsingh Temple and Adi  Shankaracharya Math at Joshimath. On arriving at the  destination first take a bath in the Tapt Kund which is a  natural thermal spring located on the bank of Alaknanda  River. It is believed that devotees have to bathe in this hot  spring before entering the temple. Then take the Darshan,  offer prayer to Lord Shiva later to which visit the Mana  Village which is known to be the last village near the Indo Tibetan Border, Vyas Gufa which is a rock cave popular for  being the spot where Ved Vyas composed and wrote the  epic of Mahabharata, Bhim Pul that is a huge rock which is  lying over the Saraswati River and is believed to be placed  by Bheem second eldest brother of Pandavas, and Saraswati  River. Don’ t forget to visit the Mata Murty Temple that is  dedicated to the mother of Badrinath Ji and Narad Kund  which is an obstruction near the Tapt Kund, which has  formed a pool from where the Badrinath idol was  recovered. There is an overnight stay in Badrinath.

Badrinath – Rudraprayag (158 kms / 08 hrs drive)

You can go to worship the temple early in the morning and  after this, we would drive to Rudraprayag the confluence of  the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers via Joshimath,  Chamoli, Karanprayag visiting the temples Rudranath,  Chamunda Devi and Koteshwar. Later on, after reaching the  destination we’ll stay here for the night.

Rudraprayag – Rishikesh/Haridwar (135 kms / 07 hrs drive)

Our drive to Rishikesh the Yoga Capital of the world, will be  next on cards. This city is also a holy and sacred place  known for its yoga centres. It is one of the most important  places for the Hindu pilgrims. will start in the morning via  Srinagar Garhwal. We would also visit Devprayag, which is  the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers en route.  Visit the Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula during the evening  later to which, there will be an overnight stay.

Day 12

Haridwar – Delhi (234 kms / 07 hrs drive)

We will drive to Delhi in the morning and drop you at the  Delhi Airport/ Railway Station from where you can move  towards your onward journey.

In kedarnath ji only mattresses are provided and we provide only dharamshala in kedarnath ji not hotels  .

  • Any extra excursions or sightseeing apart from the above specified itinerary.

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING

 

A/c will not work in car on Hilly areas. (In Chardham Sector)

In case of any uncertain/unwanted circumstances like bad weather or land slide etc. Company will reschedule the itinerary accordingly. But, in that case guest has to pay for extra expenses like food, accommodation, car rental for extra days or anything which is already booked/ arranged by the company.

Company is not responsible If there will be any kind of fault such as electricity or water inside the Hotel Premises. (Hotel Manager will be resolved the problem)

After Confirming Helicopter tickets, company is not responsible for any kind of discrepancy happened from the end of the Aviation Company. Like cancellation due to bad weather etc.

Extra expenses other than the planed itinerary will be bear by the client at their own. Such as medical related problem, extra meal in between journey or whatever is not mentioned in the itinerary, Hotels other than booked one.

Sightseeing which are out of the way of Chardham Yatra will cost extra. 

All extras (F&B and any other services) availed by the customer will be on direct payment basis.

In case of odd number groups, the extra person shall be accommodated in the same room with an extra bed / mattress.

The above rates are applicable to the Indian Nationals only.

In Rishikesh, Green card permit will be taken from Uttarakhand Govt. the time may vary depending upon crowd their hill taking the permit.

Any Meals, services not utilized, partly utilized are non-refundable.
