Australian Escapade – Sydney, Melbourne & Gold Coast

Arrival at Sydney Airport : Arrive in Sydney and complete immigration/customs formalities. Meet your transfer representative and proceed to the hotel.

Depending on the international flight arrival time, allow some time for hotel check-in and refreshment.After freshen-up proceed for Sydney sight seeing tour.

Sydney Harbour : Begin your Australian holiday with Sydney Harbour, one of Australia's most recognisable landscapes. The harbour brings together the city's two most famous icons – the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge – with ferries, waterfront promenades, gardens and restaurants.

Sydney Opera House : The sail-shaped Sydney Opera House is Australia's most famous architectural landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed building. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, it opened in 1973 and today remains one of the world's major performing-arts centres.For a first visit, it is recommended seeing the Opera House from outside on Day 1 and doing the interior guided tour on Day 2, when you are more relaxed. Official guided tours currently operate daily and take approximately one hour; the standard tour involves around 300 stairs, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

Sydney Harbour Bridge : The enormous steel arch bridge connecting Sydney's north and south shores is another defining symbol of the city. You can walk across the pedestrian pathway for excellent harbour and Opera House views.

Optional : For travellers looking for an adventure, the BridgeClimb provides a guided climb to the upper arch.

The Rocks : The Rocks is Sydney's historic waterfront precinct, characterised by sandstone buildings, narrow lanes, heritage pubs, restaurants and harbour views. It occupies an important place in Sydney's colonial history and is particularly pleasant to explore on foot.

Tourism Australia also recommends The Rocks as part of a Sydney Harbour sightseeing day alongside the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Evening : Enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants around Circular Quay / The Rocks, ideally with a view of the illuminated Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Morning Attractions:-
Sydney Opera House Guided Tour : The tour explains the building's architecture, history and role as a performing-arts venue and gives visitors the opportunity to see some of the interior spaces. The standard tour lasts approximately one hour.

Tip: Pre-book this tour because availability can vary.

Royal Botanic Garden : Walk through Sydney's beautiful waterfront botanical garden. It is located immediately beside the Opera House and provides an excellent combination of greenery, harbour scenery and city views.

Mrs Macquarie's Chair : This sandstone lookout is one of Sydney's classic photography locations. From here you get an outstanding panoramic view of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour together.

Afternoon Attractions:-

Bondi Beach : Travel to the famous Bondi Beach, one of Australia's best-known beaches. It is a great place to experience Sydney's beach culture, enjoy the coastal scenery and have lunch or coffee.Bondi is particularly famous for surfing, its broad sandy beach and the coastal walking routes connecting neighbouring beaches. Tourism Australia lists Bondi among Sydney's essential beach experiences.

Optional : Bondi to Coogee coastal walk

If you enjoy walking, undertake part of the Bondi–Coogee coastal walk rather than the entire route.

The trail follows dramatic cliffs and beaches with excellent ocean views.

Recommended : Bondi → Tamarama → Bronte, then return/transfer.

Evening : Return to central Sydney & overnight stay in Sydney.

This should be one of the highlights of the Australia Tour.

Morning Attraction:- Blue Mountains Excursion

Depart Sydney early for the Blue Mountains, a World Heritage-listed natural area located roughly 90 minutes from central Sydney by road.The region is famous for dramatic sandstone cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls, valleys and scenic lookouts.

Echo Point & Three Sisters:-

The Three Sisters are three distinctive sandstone formations overlooking the Jamison Valley.They were created through thousands of years of erosion and hold important Aboriginal cultural significance. Echo Point provides the classic panoramic viewpoint.This is one of the best locations for photographs in the Blue Mountains.

Scenic World : Scenic World offers several ways to experience the Blue Mountains landscape.

The most popular experiences include:

Scenic Railway – descends dramatically into the rainforest.

Scenic Cableway – provides sweeping views of the valley.

Scenic Skyway – travels between clifftops approximately 270 metres above the valley.

The Scenic Railway has a steep 52-degree incline, while the Skyway gives spectacular aerial views of the Jamison Valley.

Recommended : Include the Scenic World rides in the package rather than simply visiting the viewpoint.

Leura : Continue to the charming mountain village of Leura.

Leura is known for its cafés, boutique shops, gardens and relaxed village atmosphere. It makes a good stop for lunch/coffee and a little shopping.

Optional – Wentworth Falls

If time permits and weather conditions are suitable, make a short stop at a lookout around Wentworth Falls.

Evening : Return to Sydney for overnight stay.

Morning – After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sydney Airport for your domestic flight to Melbourne.

Recommended flight : Sydney to Melbourne morning flight.

On arrival, transfer to your Melbourne hotel and check in.

Melbourne City Tour:-

Melbourne is very different from Sydney. While Sydney is famous for its harbour and beaches, Melbourne is known for its laneways, cafés, street art, architecture, galleries, sporting culture and food scene.

Federation Square : Federation Square is Melbourne's central cultural and public gathering space, situated opposite Flinders Street Station and beside the Yarra River.Its distinctive contemporary architecture, galleries, restaurants and event spaces make it one of the city's most recognisable urban areas. The official Melbourne tourism site describes Fed Square as a vibrant public space with galleries, restaurants, cafés and a daily programme of events.

Flinders Street Station : One of Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks, this historic railway station stands opposite Federation Square. Its distinctive dome and clock tower have become synonymous with the city.

Yarra River : Take a relaxed walk along the Yarra River promenade. The area offers restaurants, cafés, public art and views towards Melbourne's modern skyline.

Melbourne Laneways : Melbourne's laneways are narrow streets and alleys filled with cafés, restaurants, boutiques and colourful street art.For a first visit, exploring the laneways is more worthwhile than simply visiting a shopping mall because it gives you a feel for Melbourne's distinctive character.

Evening : Enjoy dinner in Melbourne CBD.

Overnight stay in Melbourne.

This will be your longest sightseeing day, but its strongly recommended keeping it because the Great Ocean Road is one of Victoria's signature experiences.

Depart Melbourne early for the Great Ocean Road.The route follows Victoria's spectacular southern coastline, passing beaches, cliffs, rainforest and small coastal towns.

The official Great Ocean Road tourism organisation highlights Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet, Lorne and the coastal route towards the 12 Apostles as key experiences.

Torquay : Torquay is a famous surf town and the eastern gateway to the Great Ocean Road. It is associated with Australia's surfing culture and is a good place for a short morning stop.

Memorial Arch : Stop at the famous Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, a popular photography point marking the entrance to the scenic coastal route.

Lorne : Lorne is a beautiful seaside town surrounded by forest and coastline. It is an excellent place for a lunch stop and a short walk.

Apollo Bay : Apollo Bay is another attractive coastal settlement on the Great Ocean Road, backed by the Great Otway National Park.

12 Apostles : The 12 Apostles are enormous limestone stacks rising dramatically from the Southern Ocean.Despite their name, the number of visible stacks has changed over time because erosion continuously reshapes the coastline.This is the spectacular finale of the Great Ocean Road excursion and one of Australia's most photographed natural attractions. Melbourne's official tourism site describes the 12 Apostles as magnificent rock stacks rising from Victoria's dramatic Southern Ocean coastline.

Loch Ard Gorge : A short distance from the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge features towering limestone cliffs, beaches and dramatic ocean scenery.It is named after the ship Loch Ard, which was wrecked off the Victorian coast in 1878.

Return to Melbourne in the evening for overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Melbourne Airport to board flight for Gold Coast.

On arrival at Gold Coast Airport, transfer to your hotel & check-in.

Tourism Australia notes that Gold Coast Airport is approximately 30 km from the city and is served by domestic and international flights.

Check into your hotel and head out to explore Gold Coast.

Surfers Paradise : Surfers Paradise is the best-known beach district on the Gold Coast, famous for its long sandy beach, high-rise skyline, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

The Gold Coast has approximately 57 km of coastline, with Surfers Paradise being its most famous stretch.

Cavill Avenue : Explore the central pedestrian/shopping area around Cavill Avenue, with cafés, restaurants, shops and entertainment.

Gold Coast Beach : Spend some relaxed time at the beach. This is intentionally a lighter afternoon after the long Melbourne–Gold Coast transfer.

SkyPoint Observation Deck : In the evening, visit SkyPoint at the top of the Q1 building.From the observation deck, you can see the Gold Coast coastline, Surfers Paradise skyline and hinterland.

Optional : Adventure travellers can upgrade to SkyPoint Climb, an external climb above the Gold Coast skyline. It reaches around 270 m above sea level and provides 360-degree views.

Evening : Enjoy dinner around Surfers Paradise and take an evening walk along the beachfront.

Overnight stay in Gold Coast.

For a first-time family/general leisure trip, it is recommended Warner Bros. Movie World as the main choice.However, if the travellers are more interested in nature than rides, choose the hinterland option.

Option A – Warner Bros. Movie World(Recommended for families, couples & theme-park lovers)

Spend a full day at Warner Bros. Movie World, one of Australia's best-known theme parks.The park combines roller coasters, family rides, movie-themed attractions, entertainment and character experiences.

Suggested activities for whole day :

Morning: Arrive at opening time and begin with the major rides.

Afternoon: Enjoy shows, family attractions and lunch inside the park.

Late afternoon: Continue with rides/entertainment before returning to the hotel.

Evening: Dinner in Surfers Paradise.

Why its recommended : With only two nights on the Gold Coast, a full-day theme park gives the itinerary a completely different experience from the Sydney and Melbourne sightseeing.

Option B – Gold Coast Hinterland(Recommended for nature lovers)

If you prefer scenery, rainforest and villages, spend the day exploring the Gold Coast hinterland.

The Gold Coast is unusual in that ancient subtropical rainforest is located close to its beaches and urban areas; Tourism Australia specifically recommends allowing time for the hinterland's rainforest walks and waterfalls.

Tamborine Mount : A picturesque mountain region with rainforest, viewpoints, cafés, galleries and walking trails.

Gallery Walk : Explore the local shops, galleries, cafés and small boutiques.

Rainforest Walk : Enjoy a short rainforest walk through subtropical vegetation.

Optional – Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park : Springbrook offers rainforest, waterfalls, cliffs and spectacular viewpoints over the Gold Coast.

Burleigh Heads : End the day around Burleigh Heads.The area combines a beautiful beach, headland and walking trails with excellent views towards the Gold Coast skyline.

Overnight stay at Gold Coast.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
